Dear Mummy,
My teacher says I have made a lot of improvement in school. I learn new words and speak up more, I participate in all the class activities, and enjoy getting along with teachers and friends. She also says I like to sing in class, erm, loudly! *grins*
Oh, and I think I’m not the only one learning new things. My brother is also picking up a few tricks of his own. I think he’s able to stand by himself now, just as long as he has something to hold onto. He likes playing with me, I think…
I will update you again with my progress. Until then, here’s some photos I’d like to share. Take care, Mummy.
Lots of love,
Misha
Monday, Dec 3rd, 2007, was Misha’s first day at school. P & I had accompanied her and spent the full day at the centre. We noticed that she could get along well with her centre mates, although most of the time she was caught playing by herself. She got quite comfortable, nonetheless. One thing good was that she didn’t complain or make a fuss when other kids snatched her toys away from under her nose. She would divert her attention to other things.
The only worrying part is that she barely eats despite their daily servings of healthy meals. For breakfast, the centre had served Honey Stars in a bowl and a cup of milk. She *did* munch a couple of “stars” using a spoon (although with slight difficulty as she’s used to eating Honey Stars with her hands). But she *did* try and somehow managed on her own. Her milk was, however, untouched. At lunch, she didn’t eat her porridge. She shook her head no when her teacher even tried to feed her. She *did* however finished one slice of apple. For snacks, she took 2 feeds of waffle with syrup and refused to eat the rest. Her milo was, once again, untouched. Apart from that I think she did quite well.
We’ll just wait and see how she progresses over the week.

Today is PSLE results day for my kid bro. We had previously made a pact that if he scored a higher aggregate than me for PSLE, I’d get him something as a gift. And turned out that he did!! I’ve already something in mind, but looks like I have to wait for pay day lah…tengah broke seh!
Anyhow, I’m so proud of him. He’s thinking into enrolling into Victoria, his own personal first choice *yay*. Just like how I wanted. Great work, kiddo!
On a sidenote, I have the Hari Raya pics uploaded onto my comp, but I’m just too lazy to get them uploaded onto my webhost. Looks like that has to wait.
There was an open house at RI yesterday. My brother had asked Mom and Dad to take him there just to have a look around. Being my curious self, I decided to tag along, since I haven’t been anywhere close to a Boys’ school, let alone a prestigious one like the Raffles Institution.
My brother is in Primary 6, and already opting for a few good secondary schools for next year. I had suggested him to choose Temasek where I was from. He’d probably add that to his want-to-go list along with Victoria Secondary among others. I notice a LOT of boys like to go to Victoria. I wonder what is so special about it apart from it being one of the best few secondary schools in Singapore already.
The new RI campus at Bishan is just amazing. It is about 3 times bigger than the normal secondary schools, and feels like a varsity. They’ve created the environment similar to the colonial times, especially the library and museum. It’s such a pity we couldn’t finish the tour because we had to rush for the parent-teacher talk at my brother’s school. And although I’m no parent, I tagged along as well.
The admission aggregate? 263 minimum! *eek* Good luck, Musli!
P.s: I’ve already told the kid, that if he could beat my score, I’d get him a nice present. I hope that’s motivational enough.
I am really pissed. Pissed especially at this particular institution which I used to study at and also the one that had organised this study program in the first place. I shall not mention names here, but for those who already knew, well, too bad then.
*sigh* This is all ever so complicated. The whole process of it. If I had known this is how things are going to work out, I would have actually studied there fulltime and be satisfied with the $20,000++ spent on the whole course.
